SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR PRIOR TO MY braid APPOINTMENT

YES! All clients should shampoo and condition their hair prior to scheduled BRAID appointment. Braid Appointments only. As, listed in REFERENCE, Requirements for ALL Braids, Crochets, Faux/ Goddess Locs and Sew-in’s Appts: clean scalp, NO or (LIGHT) moisturizer, grease, oil, drops, etc... Please have hair in a ready to braid condition... Meaning: (STRAIGHT/ STRAIGHTEN) Flat iron and/ or blow dried out.. If your hair is natural or in a natural state please be mindful of your ENDS, please make sure the ENDS are straight, (really straight) if I need to blow dry or straighten your hair it's an additional $20 Thanks again.

Is hair provide for braiding services?

YES, Polished Supplies hair for all braiding services. The prices are included at the time of booking.
For all Braid appointments pre stretch for will be provided. For Specialty color that isnt listed on braid chart, clients are welcome to supply their own hair. Price will be subtracted and discounted.

What if tHe color i want not available?

No worries, you can bring your desired color of hair to scheduled appointment. Stylist will deduct fee

my hair is natural and the website states hair must be cleaned & flat ironed. however, i do not use heat on my hair.what should I do?

Use protective heat, first start by blow drying hair completely out, using heat protector. Then flat iron hair on 300. If you do not use heat at all that’s fine addition cost may occur due to product usage .

HOW DO I WASH MY BUNDLES BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

No Worries, Polished has a Bundle Restoration Service, now Available, bundles must be dropped of 48hrs in advance appointment schedule with Polished.

All bundles must be washed and air dried before your appointment. Braid bundles and rubber them at the beginning and end. wash and condition them. let conditioner sit for 20mins then rinse in cold water. after you rinse them. Boil them. Yes, boil! boiling them returns bundles to its original state. Boil them for 10-15 mins. Then remove them from the water and let them air dry. However, restoration services comes with professional supplies, clarifying shampoo, restorative mask, weave hydration, removes all oily residue, and more

how much for additional bundle for a sewin ?

$25 sewin / $25 Wig per bundle

will the stylist use something on my scalp?

Yes. During braiding/ hair session. I will grease, moisture, oil and maintain your scalp, please do not use anything in your scalp prior to appointment.

WHAT KIND OF HAIR DO I NEED FOR A SLEEK PONYTAIL?

Previous used bundles is fine, be sure to wash and boil them prior to schedule appt. If you dont have old bundles its ok. You can purchase hair from a local hair store. one pk of straight hair 12-16 inches. please speak with stylist beforehand to discuss more in detail. 504-930-1307

what is the best type of hair for knotless braids?

The best brand hair recommended is

X-Pression (pre-stretched) 3x

(3x only means 3pk) - it comes in a 3pk :)

what length should I select for my braids?

( Choose which appropriate length) which is best for you.)

Please look at the package place it to the back of your head and measure where it stops that is the length your braids will stop. Be careful when selecting hair . Many stores don’t offer exchange or refund.

TEXAS CLIENTS:

For kids 9 and under I strongly suggest X-pression lil look (its a kids version ) depends on client length of hair


Longer Length : suggested for client who wears hair below bra strap, for this length and box braid services additional $20 will be applied to your service.

Short|Shorter Length suggested for client who wears hair above bra strap & recommended for kids. The shorter length is preferred for kids. Purchase the shorter pk hair ( above 26 inches)
